Recent Uploads
Some photos and videos uploaded by our pilots, and set to be publicly visible. These can be found by date and location on our Discover map.
Finally, the SHV number is good for something!
Wondering if someone took a photo of you? Maybe someone caught your perfect landing on camera, or filmed you thermalling from their perspective?
Or you're organizing schooling flights, and want to show students a video of their take-off run?
With SkySee, pilots can share photos and videos with each other - even if they don't know each other! SHV members or foreign holders of an SHV number can upload photos or videos and tag other pilots with their SHV number. Any already registered pilot will be notified by email as soon as they are spotted in an upload. And tags of pilots who are not yet registered will wait patiently until the owner registers.
Uploads can be limited to be only visible to tagged pilots. But when set to public visibility, they can be found by other pilots on the Discover page, and shared with non-pilots as well. Some of these are shown above!
Discover and self-tag
The SHV number is often concealed in the wing, or too small to be read from far away. SkySee's discover feature helps you find public uploads by time and location. You can also upload an IGC file and find photos along your flight - and maybe discover yourself.
Found yourself? With just a click, you can tag yourself and the upload will instantly appear in your collection.

Frequently Asked Questions
If they are registered with their SHV number, they will receive a notification by email (if enabled), and have the option of accepting your tag. If you made a typo in their SHV number, or they don't want to see the photo you tagged them in, they can reject the tag. In either case, you will be notified (if enabled). If they rejected a tag, you can show good manners by deleting the tag; either way, they won't see the upload anymore.
If they are not yet registered, you can still tag them by their number. Once they do register, your upload will be waiting for them to accept or reject the tag. No notification is sent to a pilot who is not yet registered. The numbers 99999 etc. below represent SHV numbers (which are usually five-digit numbers these days).
